Finding Christ In All Things: 3
Can I go anywhere apart from Your Spirit? Is there anywhere I can go to escape Your watchful presence? If I go up into heaven, You are there. If I make my bed in the realm of the dead, You are there. If I ride on the wings of morning, if I make my home in the most isolated part of the ocean, Even then You will be there to guide me; Your right hand will embrace me, for You are always there.
I will be with you, day after day, to the end of the age.
The fullness of joy is to behold God in everything.
Julian of Norwich
As we enter a new season, a new school year, and the rhythms that re-emerge with the transition from summer break, we’re giving ourselves to a shared experiment designed to help us see the presence of Christ in all of life. And the process is simple. Begin and move through each day with the associated psalm and question in view, noting your responses to the daily question in whatever format you prefer. Then, either daily, or every few days, share your responses with the rest of Kaleo via the form labeled "Share Your Experience" on the homepage, or through our Facebook page.
3: SEPTEMBER 5
The moon strides through her phases, marking seasons as she goes. The sun hides at his appointed time, And with the darkness You bring, so comes night—when the prowling animals of the forest move about. It is then that lions seek the food You, the True God, give them, roaring after their prey. At sunrise, they disappear and sleep away the day in their dens. Meanwhile, the people take to the fields and to the shops and to the roads, to all the places that people work, until evening when they rest.
Q: Where do you see Christ in the midst of the normal, even possibly mundane routines of this day?
