Finding Christ In All Things: 6
Can I go anywhere apart from Your Spirit? Is there anywhere I can go to escape Your watchful presence? If I go up into heaven, You are there. If I make my bed in the realm of the dead, You are there. If I ride on the wings of morning, if I make my home in the most isolated part of the ocean, Even then You will be there to guide me; Your right hand will embrace me, for You are always there.
I will be with you, day after day, to the end of the age.
The fullness of joy is to behold God in everything.
Julian of Norwich
As we enter a new season, a new school year, and the rhythms that re-emerge with the transition from summer break, we’re giving ourselves to a shared experiment designed to help us see the presence of Christ in all of life. And the process is simple. Begin and move through each day with the associated psalm and question in view, noting your responses to the daily question in whatever format you prefer. Then, either daily, or every few days, share your responses with the rest of Kaleo via the form labeled "Share Your Experience" on the homepage, or through our Facebook page.
6: SEPTEMBER 8
You spend time on the good earth, watering and nourishing the networks of the living. God’s river is full of water! By preparing the land, You have provided us grain for nourishment. You are the gentle equalizer: soaking the furrows, smoothing soil’s ridges, softening sun-baked earth with generous showers, blessing the fruit of the ground. You crown the year with a fruitful harvest; the paths are worn down by carts overflowing with unstoppable growth. Barren desert pastures yield fruit; craggy hills are now dressed for celebration. Meadows are clothed with frolicking flocks of lambs; valleys are covered with a carpet of autumn-harvest grain; the land shouts and sings in joyous celebration.
Q: How are you recognizing Christ's presence in the provision supplied for this day?
